No more pencils, no more books, no more students dirty looks!

Schools officially out for summer, Hooray!!! Maybe I finally will have some time to catch up on my blogging, amongst many other things. The last couple months have been busy and exciting and I have a lot to blog about.  Graduation was today, it seems like we are the last school district in the state to get out of school. The end of the school year is always a little bittersweet for me.  I look forward to summer and can't wait to get rid of some students but it seems that each year there are always several seniors who I become attached to and it's sad to see them graduate, but exciting at the same time.

I have tried not to blog about students because it's probably not very professional but I might have to break my rule for a couple posts.  This year in particular there are 4 senior girls who have been on the cheer squad all three years that I have coached and I really have grown to love these girls.  I look forward to hearing about all of the great things they do in their life and I really will miss the almost daily interaction that I have had with them the past 3 years.  There definitely were times when I wanted to kill each one of them but overall I really have grown to love them and will look back on these years with many great memories.  Best of luck to them and all of the class of 2009!

I think it is ok, It is a nice post. So, what do you do over the summer when you actually have time on your hands?

I know you like those kids but you may be able to have more of a life now, that is the benefit. That or you'll be able to complete your masters.
